Glass, Brass, and Pewter
The seder plate is the most important ritual object of the Passover ceremony. On it are placed the symbolic foods; Betzah (hard boiled egg), Zeroah (roasted shankbone), Maror (bitter herbs), Karpas (parsley), Charoseth (apple nut mixture, and Chazereth (romaine lettuce and bitter herbs).
Each of these foods is named in Hebrew in handcut brass and is placed next to the cobalt blue glass dish meant to contain each of them. The Star of David in the center is comprised of six beveled glass diamond shapes, and is mounted above the plate often casting beautiful shadows on the table.
Truly an extraordinary piece for your Passover table!
